Who we are

SetDarts is operated by setdarts s. r. o. (“SetDarts”, “we”, “us”), the controller of your personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”) and the Slovak Personal Data Protection Act No. 18/2018 Coll.

This policy covers our websites (including setdarts.com, admin.setdarts.com, app.setdarts.com and live.setdarts.com) and our iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”).

Data we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

• Account data — your name or nickname, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). Guest players may be added by an organizer with just a display name.
• Gameplay data — matches, scores, throws, results, tournament and league entries, standings and the statistics derived from them.
• Organizer data — the tournaments, leagues, teams, venues and boards you create and manage.
• Device & technical data — for venue tablets, a device identifier and pairing token; for all users, IP address, device/browser type and app version, needed to deliver and secure the Service.
• Usage & analytics data — how the Service is used (pages, features, performance). Analytics are only collected after you consent — see Cookie Policy.
• Communications — messages you send us (e.g. support requests) and, if you opt in, your newsletter subscription.

How we use it, and our legal basis

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• Providing the Service — creating your account, running tournaments, leagues and matches, recording results and stats, and syncing live across devices. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Security & reliability — authenticating users and devices, preventing abuse, debugging and keeping the Service safe. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Analytics & improvement — understanding how the Service is used so we can improve it. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Marketing — sending our newsletter, if you subscribe. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Legal compliance — meeting accounting, tax and other legal obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to run the site and remember your choices, and — only with your consent — analytics cookies to measure usage. No analytics or marketing trackers load until you accept. Full details, including a list of cookies, are in our Cookie Policy.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf under a data processing agreement, and only as needed to run the Service:

• Hosting & infrastructure — cloud hosting, databases and content delivery.
• Analytics — a privacy-conscious analytics provider, active only after you consent.
• Communications — email delivery and newsletter tooling.
• App distribution — Apple App Store and Google Play, when you install or pay through the apps.

Some gameplay information is visible by design — your display name, results and standings appear to other participants and on public event, live and leaderboard views. We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights.

How long we keep it

We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active, so your history and stats remain available. If you delete your account we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records (e.g. invoicing) to meet legal obligations. Analytics data is retained only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data — encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and device tokens, access controls and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the authorities of any breach as required by law.

International transfers

We aim to keep your data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we ensure an adequate level of protection through mechanisms such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Rectify data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
• Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”), where applicable;
• Restrict or object to certain processing;
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 16. If you are under 16, you may only use SetDarts with the consent of a parent or guardian, as permitted by the laws of your country. If you believe a child has provided us personal data without such consent, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
